Stephanie Loiacono is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with 20 years experience in investment management and research. She is known for identifying unique investment opportunities that often run counter to the pack. She earned a B.A. (with honors) in Government from St. Lawrence University, an M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University, a CFA certification, and the Series 63 and Series 86/87 licenses. She is a member of the CFA Institute and the Financial Executives Networking Group.
Stephanie established her own advisory business in 2002. Her work centers on financial writing and training and financial sector development around the world. (See Assignments). She designs and delivers workshops, including: “Understanding the Banking Industry,” “Introduction to Fixed Income Securities,” “Basics of the U.S. Fixed Income Market,” “Equity Portfolio Construction,” “Finance for the Non-Finance Professional,” and “Finance for Women Bootcamp!”
Ms. Loiacono has experience managing complex projects and teams. She currently is Team Leader for a technical assistance project on government cash and debt management, sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Previously, she managed corporate strategic projects in a unique leadership role supporting the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. She was also chief investment officer for a start-up investment firm and co-founder of a venture capital fund targeting women entrepreneurs.
Stephanie lives in Scarborough, Maine with her two daughters, Allison and Natalie. She loves tennis, cross-country skiing, biking, theatre and traveling with her family.
